Michelle Lamb is a talented, trained, and accomplished life-long dancer. She started dancing at the San Francisco School of Ballet at age 6 and has participated in jazz, modern, competitive ballroom, flamenco, hula and theatre dance. She has also choreographed off-Broadway and other productions. She has danced socially, taught, and performed tango extensively throughout Europe and North America, and hosts a weekely milonga in New York City. With this diverse movement background, Michelle is unusually skilled in improving core movement patterns, leading to more comfort, range of movement, and expressiveness.

Michelle is world-class in her ability to physically adapt to a huge variety of partners, bringing out the best in all of her partners while maintaining characteristic elegance and personal expressiveness. Michelle finds great freedom in the follower’s role and these workshops will help everyone discover more freedom and expressiveness in both roles.

Finally, Michelle is down-to-earth, silly, and approachable – you will love her!

Brian Nguyen – For many years Brian has been an aspiring tango teacher and leader in the Los Angeles tango community.  His background in various dance forms along with his passion for learning equips him with unorthodox strategies for the most avid tango students. He is most noted for his unique understanding and imagery for the foundations of tango. Brian loves to work with students who are dedicated to the nuances of technique and grace in a partnered dance.  Brian and his former partner Yuliana are the only couple to win two Tango Salon US Championships (2010 & 2011) and to make the finals at the Mundial World Championship in Buenos Aires 4 years in a row! They are also the only US couple to ever place at Tango World Championship by taking home the bronze medal in Salon category in 2011.

Together with Yuliana, he has taught and performed in several festivals and milongas in the US and around the world, including events such as El Congreso in Toronto, Tijuana Tango Festival, San Diego Tango Festival, Fire & Ice Festival in Ann Arbor, Tucson Tango Festival in Tucson, Valentango in Portland, Tango Mundo Festival in Palm Springs, Mercury Cafe in Denver and La Nacional, Ukraine, and Nocturne Milongas in NYC as well as famous theaters in LA such as Nokia theatre, Wilshire Ebell theatre, Florentine Gardens and many high-end banquet halls in USA, Canada, and Mexico. Including cities such as Sacramento, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Stanford, Santa Barbara and other cities in USA they have taught at several schools and tango clubs in LA such as Oxygen Tango School, Tango Room, Caltech Tango Club, Stanford Tango Club, Latin Dance Pro Salsa School to name a few.
